I'm so excited to be working on this project. I have been planning on doing a deck for years and finally started to kick it off at the end of 2016. After the completion of the unicorn coloring book the oracle has take priority spot on projects and they have been really coming together with nearly half the core artwork done.
I decided to go with black and white with the art and after searching several print options I decided screen printing will be the best option for the cards to give them a truly eclectic feel. Like holding a vintage item, but, new. The dings and and knocks the cards might get after years of use just adds to their appeal to me having a nice natural-esque texture instead of mass produced plastic feel you find in everything today. It will be so much more work to print them in house, but I believe the result will be amazing.
There are a few things I want to accomplish first before launching a Kickstarter campaign, get a few more done of the projected possible 20 cards done and design a back design. I will finish out the cards, layout and hand drawn lettering for the cards during campaign and am hoping this will be ready in at most 2 weeks. It's exciting and terrifying all at once to think about launching my first kickstarter.
